Birchwood Office Building
This project involved constructing a new 27,164 sf single story office building for Birchwood Properties. The new office is being leased to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Office of Security and Integrity (OSI), Personnel Security Division. It will house one hundred employees along with support spaces for file storage and training and includes a rounded two story reception lobby for security screening of visitors. The building was built to a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standard, and integrates large amounts of natural light through the use of windows, an energy efficient building management system, and a second story clerestory above the building's two wings.
