Jay, Vermont - Officials from DEW Construction Corp. and Jay Peak Resort held a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 for the new 28,000 square foot NHL regulation Ice Arena. The new facility will have seating for 750, a snack bar, a skate rental and sharpening shop and four locker rooms.
Guests of Honor included Governor Jim Douglas, State Representatives and officials from both Jay Peak Resort and DEW Construction Corp.
The project is slated to be complete in mid April 2010. Greg Leech is the DEW Project Manager and Larry Bertrand is the Superintendent. The architect is Black River Design.
